I am using an ipad air 3 and ipados16.2
In earlier versions of opados, the Books app was functional, easy to use and generally made reading books in epub, pdf and other formats quite a pleasure to read.
In the latest ipados, the books app has been "upgraded" so that it is a right PITA. No longer is it easy to use and everything seems to take too many steps. For example, setting a bookmark now is a pain and going from bookmark to bookmark takes longer. What has happened to the slider at the bottom of a page which showed me where I was in the book and allowed me to skip forwards or backwards with ease?
Is there any way I can get rid of this version and reload an earlier version so I can return to easy reading?

Nope. You only get the latest version with the current firmware.

If you want the older version, you need an iPad that runs older iOS.
