Hi team,

I got my hands on a nice i5/395X/512 machine. I wanted to install Windows, but my Boot Camp software decided to go mad. I define an ISO, I wait for the BC software to download, but then I get nothing but an error message - and the partition is gone as well afterwards.

Do you have any ideas what I can do about this?

Resolved!

I ran the Boot Camp Assistant as a Standard User, that's why it didn't work out.

As an administrator user, all went well.

Bootcamp shouldn't be allowed to do that and should be asking for an administrator user and password. Weird!
Best part of that: I had to provide the password 2 to 3 times when I ran BC as a standard user. When I tried as admin, I didn't even get a prompt. But hey, whatever works!
