More like nice going Djmx..... lol jk but as of now there is no way to go back. In all honesty though you will be fine. I bet by the middle of next week or much earlier someone will have hacked the new firmware. If you try hard enough nothing is unhackable(probably not true but what ev).

Download 1.0.2 from here:
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite...70821.vormd/iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw

In iTunes, instead of just clicking Restore, click SHIFT+Restore (in Windows) or OPTION+Restore (in OS X), and iTunes will ASK you which firmware file you want to use to restore. Then choose the 1.0.2 file you just downloaded. This will allow you to update to 1.0.2, instead of 1.1.1.

Cheers

Rudi

You think he's lying?

If i am following this tread properly then it is saying that after you upgrade to 1.1.1 you can roll back to 1.0.2... I have been at this for the past 4 hours and haven't been able to do it. So to answer your question... Yes.

From what I've read in other threads, 1.1.1 makes a change to the modem firmware (or something to that effect), so even if you can get 1.0.2 installed back on your iPhone, 1.0.2 isn't able to work with the upgraded modem.

This is why you haven't seen 50 blogs posts on "How to rollback your iPhone to 1.0.2" yet.

If/when it becomes possible, you won't have to post a thread asking "can you do this???" because it'll be the total talk of the forum/Internet.

1.0.2 firmware

Well I suppose now that I read again, I am lying, and I apologise for my misunderstanding.
The method for select a difference firmware/software update does work for the version of itunes I mentioned, but now i see it won't help your situation. No it won't rollback the FIRMWARE, however this solution is a valid one for someone wanting to hack an out of the box pre 1.0.2 phone without the automatic upgrade to 1.1.1

Supposedly you need iTunes 7.3.2. See the hackinosh forum for the method. Firmware only, not baseband. I have not tried it personally.

I have iTunes 7.4.2 and rolled back from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 last night. Had a few scarey moments but it all worked out in the end. If I would have expanded my apps to see what glorious things could be had, I NEVER would have gone to 1.1.1 Big mistake. Hopefully the developers will make it work with 1.1.1 soon cuz 1.1.1 has some cool new features I'd like to have. But the whole situation does suck.
