Resolved RSS application suite NOT using Google Reader?

Hello!

I am looking for an RSS aggregator application suite (OS X and iOS) that syncs together. The problem is I don't want it to sync using Google Reader and I don't want it to be Pulp.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Found it (kind of): Fever.

Reeder for iPhone supports it (and I guess that upcoming revisions of iPad and OS X versions will support it as well).

Unfortunately for you most RSS aggregators sync only with Google Reader.

However there is this one, Feedly, that I've read about and just checking on their website it apparently doesn't use Google Reader.
It has gotten positive reviews but I have never used it (and on the Mac/Windows machine its available as a browser extension -yuck-). You could always give it a shot tho'.
