For the past several months everytime I open a new windows in Safari it automatically copies the url to my clipboard. It happens across all my devices - iOS and Mac. I can’t find a setting in safari to stop this. I’m not sure if it is safari itself that is doing this or an extension I have installed. I’ve gone through my extensions and can’t see anything obvious. Is there a way for me to stop this happening?

When you say "open a new windows in Safari", how exactly are you opening new windows? What actions are you performing?

Opening a window and doing a search, clicking on a link in an email and opening a window etc.
