Hi, I'm trying to install some extensions on Safari. I click the download button, download the extension and try to run it, but all that happens is it opens a new tab in Safari... the extension does not get installed.

I have tried rebooting - thought it might have been a one time Safari glitch because I had to force quit it before I could reboot, but the issue persists.

Considering this is a brand new MacBook, I am confused.

EDIT: For anyone in the same position: It's Adware called Spigot. Remove it.
