I’ve been having issues with safari on my iPad for a little while now. It can take multiple presses to open links. Sometimes it’s like the page is refreshing itself a million times juddering. Some websites are unaffected, some it happens to all the time (Amazon is an example). When I use chrome there aren’t the same issues so I think it’s likely software not hardware (iPad pro 5th gen 12.9inch). I updated to the latest iOS 16.6 to see if it helped but it is getting worse. I tried deleted the cache/history but haven’t gone as far as a reset yet.

Any suggestions on what to try next please? Is it a reset? I know I can use chrome but I do actually prefer safari! It’s driving me round the bend. Thanks in advance.

Do you have any Safari extensions installed? If so try disabling them and see if the situation improves.
