Hi.

I just opened my new M2 MacBook Air and after setting it up, I’m having some issues. I’m trying to add my Google account to my Mac, but every time I try to go to a Google related webpage, Safari keeps blocking because it can’t access the server, or it’s not secure. I’m not sure why. Without the Google services, it’ll be a pain since most of my word processing is done on Google Docs and my main email is a gmail.

I do have Qustodio on it, but it’s required because my parents want to be able to see where I go and what I do. I’m also on macOS 13.0, so maybe not being on the latest macOS release don’t help. I’m currently downloading the latest version of macOS. Maybe that’ll fix the problem.

If you have advice on how to fix this, it’ll be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Definitely update to the latest version of macOS, Ventura 13.2.1 at the moment. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201222

If the problem persist, try to disable iCloud Private Relay https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614 and Hide IP address https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/privacy-sfri35610/mac
I’m at the latest version of macOS, and I’ve tried disabling Hide IP address (I don’t have iCloud+) but the problem is still there. I’m wondering if it’s Qustodio having problems with either Screen Time or something else.

Also, I should mention that I had to use Rosetta 2 to install Qustodio.

When a website is blocked by Screen Time, you see a message like this one

I don’t know about Qustodio, but disable it temporary to see if it is the cause.

It’s fixed. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and everything works great! Thanks for your help @bogdanw!
