I recently got my hands on 2 powerbooks, one being the 170 and the other 165.
The 170 boots until it reaches a point at which it needs a floppy disk and the 165 boots just to a blank screen.
I was wondering if anyone has the technical expertise to advise me on the price of these 2 machines, both in pretty good shape physically.

The 165 may get $30 to $50. Since it shows at least some signs of life. If it chimes maybe a little more. The 170 may hit around $100 since it makes it to the point of searching for a boot disk. Assuming they come with an AC adapter and are fully intact. These are based on sold items.

The listing on eBay would be for parts or not working. As neither works.

Fully working would be that it has a functional boot drive and fully boots. That all ports work. Keyboard and trackball works. Battery holds some sort of charge. Floppy is fully functional and so forth.

List those as fully functional and you'd be taking a big risk of a forced return, negative feedback and eating the shipping cost both ways.
