I’m being ultra paranoid here so just need to ask. Is there anyway I could get scammed if a person sends me Apple Pay cash? I ask because I recently purchased a car and found out the owner and her son had run the odometer back. The father and I came to an agreement to refund $1000 of the purchase price, so I sent him a request for $1000 and he has now responded and sent me $1000 through Apple Pay Cash. I have also transferred it to my bank. I’m 99.9% certain that there is no way he could recall that transaction but there’s that 0.1% that bugs me.

Is there anything I should be concerned about?

Probably not.

One issue could be if someone uses a stolen debit card to fund the transaction. The actual cars owner could dispute and eventually that $1000 could be reversed on you. That seems very unlikely in the situation you describe.
