scanner won't mount

so, my scanner can't be seen in photoshop, and when i hit the scan button on the scanner it scans, but nothing comes on my screen.

its an HP psc 1315v. i've reinstalled drivers, and am currently downloading hp's software for macs. but hopefully i won't need to use it. anyone have any ideas?

alright, i figured it out. can't do it in photoshop, but was able to do it in HP's scanning software.
