I am having issues with the scheduler in the energy saver preferences in 10.9.1 on my late 2013 iMac. What I want is my iMac to wake at a certain time, allowing CrashPlan to perform a backup throughout the night. I have my iMac set to wake at 1:00AM and CrashPlan to begin its backup at 1:01AM. Followed by CrashPlan stopping at 6:55AM and my iMac sleeping at 7:00AM.

The problem is the iMac never wakes from sleep at the scheduled time, causing CrashPlan to fail to initiate its backup process.

As cited here on Apple's website. It only states the computer won't shutdown if it's not logged in or a sleep. It does not say it needs to be logged in to wake.

Does anyone know what's going on?

I wanted to follow up. Ever since 10.9.3 I have had no issues with wake and sleep. Possibly an update patched what I was experiencing.
