Hello all,
Like so many of us Macbook Air owners, my screen gradually succumbed to weak hinges and is now all grey and not working. It is still semi attached by just one hinge, and still gives some light when operating, so it is still barely alive. Ive been considering getting it repaired but 400 euros is way too much, my solution is to buy a 300 euro netbook and use the Macbook Air as a desktop attached to a monitor or TV screen.

Is it this simple? I heard a 'mac rumour' that the airport connection runs the same way as the screen connection, so that if it the screen isnt fully connected, the airport connection doesnt work, which means no internet at all since theres no net cable socket.

Can someone bust the rumour?

If I connect the laptop to a monitor/screen will it work fine and dandy (with wireless)???

Peace
