Screenshot keeps showing + in the middle and is dark

Hi
I'm trying to take a screenshot using cmd/shift/5 and when I do, it keeps the + in the middle of the screenshot. Anyone else experience this?

Command shift 4 still works if you prefer it

There are also setting options in cmd + Shift + 5 - I have it set at "Capture Selected Portion"

Looks like you're running Skitch (an Evernote app). Quit Skitch, and CMD+SHIFT+5 will work as intended. ;-)
