We have a Mac OS X Server with a mirrored set of disks (SCSI domain 2, host id's 3 and 4). We purchased the server from Apple and it came with what looks like a LSI Logic Dual Channel Ultra 320 SCSI HBA (LSI22320) that we have attached to a Nexsan disk array. The array is configured as a single 2.2TB volume (SCSI Host ID 4, Lun 0) and connected to Channel A of the server. The server doesn't seem to 'see' the disk array, although the array doesn't yet have an FS on it, but when we reboot the X Server it takes forever to boot up and dmesg shows continuous SCSI Bus reset/timeouts for SCSI domain 0. Interestingly enough when we disconnect the SCSI cable and allow the server to boot without it, it comes up fast, both disks are seen in SCSI domain 2 and everything seems happy. I have been trying to google the issues and proper configuration of the system for sometime and have been unable to come up with anything concrete. The Nexsan is configured rather simply but correctly - just the server isnt seeing it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get things straightened around? Any scsi tools out there that might help? Thanks in advance
