In the past Verizon had you upgrade to the highest plans for access to 5G UW (mmWave) - Play More, Do More, etc. The entry level 5G Start plan has “Nationwide 5G”, but not UW. Am I a correct in assuming that for the SE3, this makes no difference as it doesn’t have mmWave?

Not correct. VZ’s 5G UW comprises both high band (mmwave) and mid band 5G (and you do not have a straightforward way of knowing which of them you are connected to).

The other 2 major US carriers are currently doing exactly the same thing (combining high band (mmWave) and mid band) for their top 5G (5G UC for TM, 5G + for ATT).

With all 3 carriers, you are, in general, much more likely to connect to 5G mid band than high band (because high band has very much less area coverage).

Ok so if you have the SE3 on a VZW plan that doesn’t include UW 5G what 5G do you get? Does VZW even have any low band 5G?
