With 8,000,000,000 downloads you would think that by now Apple would have fixed issues such as broken search and fake reviews. Some instances are breath taking from a developer's point of view.

Example.

If I search for "Chess" I get "Chess-Chess With Friends" at No2 that has 1000s of fake reviews and a perfect 5 score even tho' you cannot even try it without paying $30.

This is made even worse by the fact that "Chess - Clash of Kings" is running an Apple search ads campaign at around $5 per install or more but are ranked LOWER. So they are spending money trying to beat an app that they can never beat due to fake reviews.

So ... Apple wins completely here ... they get loads of $30 subscriptions and poor "Clash of Kings" using their search ads service trying to win an impossible battle.

Meanwhile our app is No 25 despite having higher (genuine) ratings and more downloads than those above it. How is this fair?
