Search bringing me to random places....

Hi all,
I'm having a strange occurance that seemed to to start for no apparant reason. If I do a specific search for say an image when I click on it it will bring me to a completely different file. It could even be an InDesign file. Seems to be completely random. I wonder could anyone help.
