I realize that you can select text while editing (with the keyboard up) by doing any of the following: (i) tap & hold and choose Select or Select All from the pop up menu; (ii) drag the handles of already selected text to change the selection; (iii) double tap a paragraph with 2 fingers to select that paragraph; and (iv) double tap with 2 fingers AND HOLD to select the text between those 2 fingers.

But is there a way to do the equivalent of a shift-click to select the text between the typing cursor and a second spot you are tapping? On a desktop computer, for example, I can click my mouse to place my cursor somewhere, then scroll down, and, while holding the Shift key down click the mouse in a second spot, and all the text between the first and second spot is highlighted.
