My wife and I have been getting issues when sending text messages they take forever to go through. Sometimes they don’t go through and we need to try again.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with their text messages?

Forgot to add my issues happen on both WiFi or cellular

No. It’s random but I’d say every day or other I get this issue.

Since this is happening with you and your wife on a regular basis, I would try the following...
1) reset network settings on both phones
2) if 1 doesn’t solve the problem, try wiping both devices and set up as new
3) If the first 2 don’t solve the problem, contact your cell provider
4) File bug report with Apple if none of the above resolve the problem

Are the messages transferring via iMessage (blue) or text SMS (green)?
