Ugh, did I mess up? I bought an apple watch (gps+cellular) for my kid and just now I also bought a $10 plan on verizon for a standalone apple watch.
The apple watch was paired with my iphone (prepaid AT&T) as a family member via apple watch app.
Verizon says after buing the standalone line :
Activate your device now.
You have everything you need to activate your device on Verizon's network now.
Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi.Navigate to Setting> Cellular.

Now, if I go to cellular setting on my iphone (watch app) it loads at&t login screen. That doesn't seem right. AT&T shoudn't have anything to do with it. I don't even have att login (I am using prepaid att).

How can I activate my kid's apple watch now?
thanks!

Edit: phew, after about 30 minutes my iphone showed up a message that plan is ready to be installed and this time when I went to cellular settings in the watch app it shown verizon staff and allowed me to add it to the apple watch.
