hello there

before getting the new pro
i used to share my wireless internet on my laptop with my xbox 360 connected with an ethernet cable

i havent been able to do this successfully with the mac now though

when trying to connect on my xbox
it fails at the 'IP' stage
and says
your console was unable to negotiate a lease with your DHCP server. Make sure that addresses are available on your server

ive googled it and found many people having the same problem
but a fix or anything is never mentioned

hoping someone can help me out?

im not sure how much more information is needed
but dhcp is on in my router settings
the gateway is correct on both console and laptop etc
anything else?

Did you follow these steps to the letter ?

If DHCP is not working, try assigning a static IP address. If you have more than one device on your network, ping the IP to make sure it's not in use.
