"
The resignations were welcomed by Labor deputy Haim Ramon, who is planning to challenge Mr Ben-Eliezer's leadership of the party.

"I'm happy that we will not be partners in a government that is a failure in all aspects of life," he said.

"We need to leave the government and present an alternative."

Apparently unbridled agression is not popular in Labor circles.....

All up in your bidness
Welcome to the U.S., where nobody gives a flying **** about what's happening in the rest of the world except to the extent that it directly affects them personally!

seriously. The US should take a more active role in policing the palestinian/israeli conflict. Sharon has hurt his own country more than the palestinians with his shoddy leadership. Hasn't he learned by now that responding to every violent attack with an equally violent response just gets more of his own people killed in the end?

It's like repeatedly punching a rusty nail because it hurt you the last time you hit it.

But then you have to ask yourself...

What would happen if Sharon does not respond?

Are you suggesting that he just let the Palestinians bomb the Israelis with impunity??

Its a very sad situation. They need to stop teaching hate in the schools, mainly Palestinians. Sharon needs to be more forceful with the settlers!
