I want to create a button to put in assistive touch for turning on or off the always on display.
I’ve seen that I can also put shortcuts in it and I wanted to create a shortcut that does that, but I can’t seem to find this option.
Has anyone tried doing this?

Unfortunately the Always On option doesn't seem to exist in Shortcuts. They have it for the Apple Watch, funnily enough. Let's hope some future update adds it.

Yet another false automation 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Apple is using some kind of AI to work out when you need the display to be on, but I don't think that without those two options below it's actually doing anything 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

There are two options:
  1. Use Low Power mode as it disables AOD
  2. Use Sleep Focus
I don't mind the AOD during the day, but at night I need my bedroom to be completely dark. The Sleep focus doesn't turn it off straight away but after some time and I'm yet to work it out.
