iPad Shortcuts

I am trying to make a shortcut to backup files that I have stored on my iPad local storage to an external hard drive but it’s not going to well.
I have never done anything like this so help is needed from you kind people.

You're ok so far. It's going to take a minute for the iPad to see the drive.

It's not going to automatically replace the file by the way. Easiest way to deal with that is just to add the current date to the archive name.

I make sure the iPad sees the drive before I run the shortcut and there is no file to replace.
