Should I let my MIDI keyboard rest?

I leave my Oxygen 8 MIDI keyboard on 24/7 I have it set to draw power from the power chord, not the USB port.

So whenever I get the urge to bang out some beats in BFD or Ableton, it's on and ready to go,

But, is that a bad idea? Does it use resources and affect the performance of my day to day activities on my Mac?

Thoughts?

Guess no one knows...

I'll just turn the thing off when I'm not using it then....
