Help Please!

Had the same problem after upgrading to Mountain Lion.

1.2.6 drivers fixed my Lacie 2 port eSATA card!

This did not work for me, mysteriously...

I'm using 10.8.2 on a mid-2010 MBP. effing eff.

I've now tried the Silicon Image download and the Sonnet 1.2.6 driver for my LaCie 2 port eSATA card...

Which card do you have exactly? These are for cards with the SI3132 chip only.

Thank you to those who've participated in this thread.

I have been able to make my Lacie 2-Port e-SATA II PCI-X Card (which apparently uses 3132 Silicon Images architecture) work in Mountain Lion OSX 1.8.2 by installing the the Tempo SATA E2P, Tempo SATA Edge ExpressCard/34 and Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34 Driver (OS X 10.5+) 1.2.6 from Sonnet (see link elsewhere in this thread). This is on a 2008 MacPro 3,1.

I did not have to uninstall the original drivers. I think they may have been uninstalled when I upgraded to Mountain Lion, due to the fact that they are 32-bit and incompatible with Mountain Lion.

guh73, I'm not sure what is going on with your situation, although I notice that you are on a MacBook Pro. Perhaps there is a difference between the desktop and laptop cards?

Thanks! Fritz

Sonnet drivers worked for me: 10.7.5

2008 15" Macbook Pro unibody 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo (now put out to pasture as a desktop machine); Lion 10.7.5.

Now I can finally use my G-Drives in e-Sata mode -- means that I can
sensibly use them for iPhoto/iTunes without the rest of the system slowing
to a crawl. Thanks for the tip, everyone

Solved My Drobo S Issue

The driver noted below also works for my early 2009 MacPro running a Drobo S.

Note that this is NOT the Silicon Graphics driver that Drobo tech support said to install.

THANK YOU!

My Wiebetech Teracard express/34 started working on Lion after I installed the Sonnet Tempo drivers.

1.2.6 drivers work with Mavericks

Hi all-

I'm reviving this thread from the dead to let everyone know...
...that in my attempt to get my PCI Expresscard 3/4 SATA card on my MacBook Pro to work with Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks....
...that the 1.2.6 driver located at this link (given in the thread above)
http://www.sonnettech.com/support/kb/kb.php?cat=345&expand=&action=a3#a3
...seems to work well.

Thanks, MacRumors forum dwellers!

I just tested these drivers with my OWC Silicon Image chip based card under Mavericks, and its working fine now! I'd been forced to use the USB interface on a ProBox multidrive cabinet for the last couple years, and now I this lets me use the faster eSATA interface again! WooHoo - and thanks for the info!

... on my early 2009 2.66 Quad-core MacPro with Mac OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks....
... using the 1.2.6 driver located at this link:

THEY WORK! I just installed 1.2.6 over the 1.2.5 driver that I had installed. Thank you niclet!

guess I'm a little behind the times but anyone know if 1.2.6 drivers might work on os x 10.11 el capitan? I'm looking to get raid over esata with my Rosewill RSV-S4-X 4 bay.
