Carrier Sim swap iPad 4 - iPad Mini

So currently I have an iPad 4 ATT

I plan on getting the new mini when it releases. I know the iPad 4 has a micro sim and the mini has a nano, I can cut the sim so thats not a problem. Anyways would I be able to swap the sim between my devices? I really don't want to have to pay for 2 data plans..

Here is what I did. Took an old Micro sim card and placed a nano sim on top of it. I then cut around the nano sim with a razor blade and placed the nano sim in the frame that is left. I like to use the sim in my iPad Mini, Nexus 7 and 4S. This allows me to.
