So today I said, what the heck am I going to do with all these Powerbook 160 parts?

So, I made this:

Yeah, OS 7.0....here's another picture...

tah-da!:

Is this project pointless? Yes. Is it cool? Kinda.

Not sure what I'm going to do about a light just yet. I might get a flat, no heat LED light to go behind it. I got the LCD's backlight (LCD not shown in photos) to go on without any signal from the computer, so I could use that, but I would need to convert the LCD's power source to a regular 120V plug to plug in...a cheap flatish light sounds easier.

Well...just an idea if you have an PB parts and are bored. :)

Cool! Don't know what it is, but it looks cool.

I guess I should explain, sorry.

It's only a piece of paper taped to the inside of a powerbook 160 screen bezel. The paper is a screen shot from MacOS 7.0. Then there's a light in back of it to simulate the backlight that an LCD would have. I'm going to mount it on my wall, it'll look nice at night.

That's pretty cool. But if you mount it on your wall, how will you put the light behind it? I don't think it would look much without the light.

I got an idea, get a metal neck from a lamp, remove the light part and attach the lcd to the end and run the wires down where the ac wires go, then you can have a really cool clock or somthing like that. imac 160
