Simple Unix command in ARD 3.0

I'm trying to make a new folder called 'test' in applications on an individual leopard iimac with the command:

mkdir /applications/test

This is through the UNIX command script in ARD. I am logged in as admin under the iimac which I am trying to create the new folder however there is no result following the command, it does not give me an error message either.

Am I typing in the correct command for such a task? If I am, any ideas why this is not taking?

Scratch that,

#!/bin/sh

would help. UNIX newbie here.
