Siri back-end improvements in iOS 10?

Apple didn't really talk about it directly today, but I'm wondering what level of back-end improvements Siri will have to improve recognition while issuing commands or dictating. It does sound from today like a lot more will be happening on-device. Anyone at WWDC getting insight on this?

Not sure, I would hope so. There wasn't much Siri news apart from the on device stuff that you mentioned. If they are going to compete with google, its that back end that they seriously need to improve. One thing leaving it to third party developers, but apple needs to improve their search and dictation.
