I'm kind of confused about this because I would have sworn I Siri opened 3rd party apps on my watch with Watch 1.0. But in 2.0.1 if I ask Siri to open up a 3rd party app it just tells me how to download Watch apps from my iPhone.

Specifically here I ask for Siri to "Open August app." It understands the command because it scrolls across the screen, it just won't open the app. OTOH if I ask Siri to do the same on my iPhone, no problem. Is that right?

Working fine for me as well, on 2.0.1. I tested it with "Hey Siri open Things" (a non-native app) and "Hey Siri open ETA" (a native app) and both launched as expected on the watch.

OK I loaded up some other 3rd party apps and Siri will launch those, but not the August app. I wonder if that is just poor programming by August?

Issue "Solved." August support says Siri for Apple Watch is not built into the app. Genius.
