Hi,
With recent changes to Google Home, I'm thinking about moving my home automation to Apple. Before investing in a HomePod or Apple TV, I'd like to know if my existing Siri Shortcuts on my iPhone 13 can be setup on the HomePod/Apple TV. My iPhone Shortcuts is as follows: 1) Set local server URL in a Text variable, (2) Ask for Text with Prompt, (3) Make a new Text variable combining the Text variable and Ask Text (URL with query string), (4) make a URL of the combined Text variables and (5) Open constructed URL.
I'd then like Siri on the HomePod to run this Shortcuts command. The key questions are (1) will Siri launch this shortcut and (2) do Shortcuts on the HomePod have Text, URL and Open URL schemes? If so, bye, bye Google!!
Thanks
Don
