sleep awake button on 3g iphone is not tactile?

On mine there is a definite click. Are you pressing it squarely?

On my new 3g iphone the sleep awake button feels very mushy and not tactile at all like my ipod touches, is this normal. Its driving me up the wall.

The same problem is on my new 16GB black. The sleep/wake button is almost pressed too far into the plastic and does not press down like the others I compaired it too.

I will be going back to Apple tomorrow for a replacement!

There's a great response on it when I press it in the middle, but if I press at either of the sides it doesn't respond. Didn't even notice before reading this post so I'd say it works great on my white iphone.

It does take some amount of force to press though.
