Slight delay when playing files in iTunes?

Just got a new MacBook Pro and installed 10.13. When I try to play a file in iTunes it takes a good second for the file to play instead of instantly. Anyone else?

If this is the same random iTunes bug that has been playing "mickey mouse" in all prior macOS and OS Xes...

A restart does the trick, and there's no obvious way to reproduce the problem...

Already tried restarting. Its also limited to playing music. When I click pause it pauses instantly. Literally just a one second delay after hitting play until my music starts playing. Its no system breaking bug but an annoyance nonetheless
