Despite having an Apple fast charger my iPad takes way too long to charge.

Could the after market cable I’m using slow down the Apple charger?

Is it the USB-C to Lightning cable you are using?
And what happens if you try another cable?

Yes usb - c , seems slower with a cheap replacement cable ? On a fast Apple Original charger
