I have Mojave 10.14.6 installed on my Mac Pro 5,1 144.0.0.0 firmware and the wifi is virtually unusable because it is so slow. Firefox works but not all that speedy and Safari pretty much stalls on any web site. My network is a LinkSys Mesh 4-node 5/2.4 GHz system and my M1 MacBook Air, M1 Mac mini and i7 hackintosh all work perfectly fine with it. So, I’m at a loss as to why it is so slow on the Mac Pro. Any ideas?

Have you never used the WiFi before with MP? My first thoughts are interference related to placement. Pull that thing out from behind the desk.

MacPro5,1 factory installed AirPort Extreme card is from 2010. The Wi-Fi is 802.11n with just two antennas for Wi-Fi and one for Bluetooth that tops at 300Mbps (when downloading data, much less when uploading).

For any modern standard, it's a joke of a Wi-Fi card and the Mac Pro aluminum case makes it even worse.
