For easy access from the Smart Search field, I have some bookmarks that contain a simple unique sequence of characters in the name (ccc, vvv, and similar).
Before 17.4, I typed ccc in the Smart Search field and the bookmark with that name appeared below.
After updating to 17.4, typing ccc only shows the option to search with the default search engine.
For Safari to show the bookmark, I have to press space after ccc or two spaces if the sequence of characters is at the end of the bookmark’s name.
More, if Show Favorites is unchecked, Safari still suggests bookmarks.
I see the same behavior in Sonoma 14.4 and Monterey 12.7.4.
Can anyone else confirm it’s an issue in Safari 17.4?
