Sweeney’s description makes it sound as though Apple is demanding its commission from all web sales for apps and services that have an iOS app. They’re not. They’re only demanding the commission from web sales that occur within 7 days of a user tapping through to the web from the new External Purchase Links entitlement in an app.

On what planet is this not a ridiculous (malicious compliance) act by Apple? And this dude passes it off as normal because Apple might close the cookie jar on his special access, and thereby his weekly $10k income from sponsorships goes down the toilet.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some of his posts. But if anyone thinks this guy (and many of his cohorts) are anything but Apple shills, I've got a trip to Mars to sell you...
