We've just got Logic and after about a year and a half of using Cubase, a few more years on top of that using Reason, we're totally stumped on a few points already. If anyone could shed some light on a couple of things it would be really helpful!

When moving audio, we can't seem to get anything to snap to grid exactly. It will snap to a few tiny incriments away from a bar but not bang on. It's so annoying because our work flow has just stopped overnight.

???

Zoom in! Use the slider on the bottom left of the screen. Then you should be able to snap it right to where you want it. I think you are just not zoomed in close enough.

Read the friendly manual for more on snapping/grid.

Arghhhhh

Thanks very much! Sounds stupid but I didn't think of that. That kind of works but I think it's just that we're not used to it, and it's different to Cubase in so many ways.

Thanks again.

(Back to banging our heads trying to learn it all again!)

Also if you hold down control while moving the position marker, it moves at a fine rate.
