iPhone 6(S)/Plus Sometimes music stops by itself on lightning cable earpod

And sometimes calls will abruptly end.
So it seems that the play/stop button is being activated at random times.
Is this a known problem with the lightning connector earpods?

Hello, I have same problem. I connected Iphone SE 2020 to lighting connector to 3mm output at my work for loud music. I was stoping by it self. I never had that problem. I am at 14.7.1 now.

Could be a bad connector(s) in both cases. Back when I used 3.5mm buds, where the wires feed into the plug would get weak from flexing, occasional snag on something. And whatever else one might do to stress the wires and connector.

With the 3.5 -> Lightning, you've got three places where the wires might be shorting out. Seem to recall I did need to replace that once due to shorting.

Can pinch/wiggle at the connectors to see if you get stops and or starts.
