Songs, Photos and COntacts lost after update.

Hi, I bought and used iphone to a friend.
She had it on version 1.1.1, and after viewing some youtube videos I updated it to 1.1.4, but now I cant find her songs, contacts and photos and I promised to send them all that info

I need to recover them if possible. How can I do that?
