Sony firewire DV camera as a web cam ?

I have a Sony DCR-HC26 with a firewire connection. Without doing anything special, I can use the firewire connection to download video to iMovie and for Skype video. Both these apps just recognise it and use it correctly.

But now I want to use it as a web cam. Image Capture.app (Version 3.0.3) does not recognise it as a device. Any suggestions ?
