Read their text more closely:
... the NAS-CZ1 allows automatic connection to a wide range of music jukebox software (including Musicmatch, Windows Media Player, iTunes, and SonicStage) via the supplied software M-crew Server.
It doesn't say it will play iTMS tracks. It doesn't say anything about an "iTunes format". It says it will connect to iTunes software via their own server software.

This tells me that they have written a software wedge to let you stream music from a running copy of iTunes into their device (much like how AirPort Express does.) Depending on how they do this, it may or may not work with iTMS purchases. If they capture the already-decoded audio moving from the iTunes program to the audio device drivers, no problem. If they are doing their own file-decoding, then forget it.
