Has anyone had any experience with the new Sony XBA line of IEM/Earbuds? I know they were released outside of the US a few months back so maybe there are some enthusiasts out there that have them and can give me some feedback.

I found a review of the sports line ones on PCMAG.com

But I'd like to hear some more experiences besides this one guy, they sound like they could be pretty good.
Anyone with Balanced Armature headphone knowledge in general would be great to hear from too. I've never heard of this technology until recently even though it's been around for a few years.

Well, if you didn't know, Apple does offer its own balanced armature. Here is a review

I did make a few weeks with them, but my ears canal were not suited for that type of earphones. As for the sony, I did heared some good comment but remember, this is a 400$ pair, you absolutely NEED lousless files (AAC, AIFF, FLAC) to enjoy the purety of the soud that you are paying for. Worse case, try them, some store are not rigid when it came to return. (but make sure, some won't let you return them)

Thanks! Just read the article... the Apple ones seem to be a bit short on bass... not that I'm a bass-head but I think the XBA models are more bass heavy.

I ordered the sports one as those are the ones I want most... though I wish it had the iControl buttons/mic.

Thanks for your help!
