I'm looking for a spare battery for my 3G (something similar to the RichardSolo) that has both a male and female dock connector (plug the male into the bottom of the iphone and plug the iphone charger into the female dock connector in the bottom of the spare battery). Does such a product exist? I've searched around and all I seem to find are spare batteries that charge via a mini-usb connector. I want something that I can charge every night along with my iphone as it sits on my nightstand.

Can't charge both iPhone and battery at same time though. (let me know if you find one that does) I have the first one and like it though

That is the exact design I'm looking for but I definitely want something that allows you to charge both the spare battery and the iphone at the same time. I find it hard to believe that something like that doesn't exist but I've come up empty so far. If I find something I'll post it here for sure - please do the same. Thanks!

It also doesn't have a female dock connector. I don't want to use two different chargers to charge the phone and the spare battery.

I've been looking for the same thing, and it seems that this one may charge while connected to the phone: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18059.

I'm based on the only review available, though it also mentions it on the packaging. I know that may not be enough, but I think I'll give it a try since it's cheap.

Well I went ahead and ordered this thing and just got it today. I plugged it in to charge it and within a minute or two of doing so I heard a pop. I picked up the battery to look at it and the plastic casing was literally melting! I immediately unplugged it but it was obviously too late - the battery was really hot and I could smell the burning plastic. I have already emailed the company for a refund since I obviously do not want them to send me a new one (they are cheaply made). I guess you get what you pay for, huh? The sad thing is that I didn't even order this thing because it was cheap - I only ordered it because it was the only battery that met my requirements. I guess I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for posting the link anyway though - I know you were only trying to help so it's certainly not your fault that this battery is of low quality.

I highly recommend the Ipwr super pack, i know it doesnt charge both at the same time, just charge them separate at night time, And its great fit in your pocket.
