Hi guys

Whenever i press the button to answer a call, I hear a tiny pop from the earpiece the moment the ringtone stops playing. Just wanted to confirm if this was normal behaviour. Its not a overly loud or a garish pop but a soft click from the earpiece.

The phone needs to be on ringing mode. Right when you touch the green button to answer the call, is there a slightly pop/click/crackle from the earpiece? Its almost like the sound which you'd hear when audio is suddenly cut from speakers.

Here is a recording to demo the issue : https://instaud.io/1pYV you can hear a tiny pop right when the ringtone stops at around 4.5 seconds.

How to recreate :

1. Make sure your ringtone is set to the deafault one.
2. Call yourself from another phone.
3. Right when you touch the green button to answer the phone - hear closely to the earpiece. Do you hear a slight audio cut pop?

Thanks

So I just found out a way to replicate it and I checked the demo units at the apple store and they did the same thing.

Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringer and Alerts Volume Bar

Adjust the volume. The ringtone should start playing. While the ringtone is playing - press the home button. There should be a slight pop from the earpiece due to abrupt stopping of the sound.

Thats the thing I hear when I answer a call.
