Those of us that still use OS X 10.9 are left in the dark when it comes to recent security fixes from Apple. I'd like to ask what are other people doing not to become target of some malicious Javascript? Would it help at least to minimise the risk by switching to latest version of Chrome and keep it updated?

I'm still not ready to move on to High Sierra, but I'm starting to contemplate what should I do next as using unsecured system is really 'asking for trouble' these days

Mavericks gets Xprotect and Gatekeeper updates.
I am on 10.9.5 and don't worry much.
And of course always think about websites I visit. I am visiting almost always the same sites.
And what I install and for what I give permission.
Sad, that we dont see a Safari/Javascript/Webkit update to be uptodate on th eweb, not only for this kind of protection.
