Some of the rumors I have read include:
This is a stunning phone and it will be my next upgrade. I currently have a 14+ and will skip on the 15. I can just get the 16 Pro Max. I am sure the screen will be bigger, the modem chip will be stronger, and the camera will be improved. Rumors are that foldable technology could be introduced in the new design. Here is a Youtube video I found that is interesting. I am guessing we are probably about 10 months away from the release date

Have you read this one? The earliest release is rumoured in 2026, so more like iPhone 18, at the earliest:

As for that video clip, it also mentions “2025 at the earliest” date for the foldable. The rest of the video is not very informative and vague, recapping on the previous rumours and stating the obvious - the next iPhone should be better than the previous one.

Display suppliers are locked in 18 months before shipping. They need to send samples to Apple for approval and then literally order the machines and raw materials that make the displays and setup the manufacturing lines. All this gets leaked.

iPhone 16 (2024) and 17 (2025) are already locked in. That’s why we already know the sizes months ago. It’s also why 2026 is the earliest date possible.

Apple will make a foldable iPhone but I doubt it’s coming this year, I will be all over it

Very unlikely to have a folding iPhone because that would give people no reason to buy iPad mini.

Apple already does not include calling and SMS services in their LTE iPads so that those tablets won't behave like phones. So to have a phone that also works like a tablet?

No way it'll be the 16. But I could see them doing it in 3-5 years maybe. I might be interested in one. Could be an acceptable compromise to a Mini.

Apple loves their glass, so unless someone has figured out how to make flexible and crease-less glass displays, I'm going to have an extremely difficult time picturing a foldable from them

Foldable iPhones are not coming anytime soon. Will be at least 2 to 3 years from now.

I am in the market for a 16 Pro or Pro Max this year as an upgrade and really hope its not a foldable. I will buy something else if it is. Not paying that much money for a concept I don't need and doubt its quality longevity.

When they do launch a foldable I would think it would be alongside the non-folders rather than instead of

I just backed out from my 15 Pro Max order today and will wait for the 16 Pro Max.
If all the news is more of less correct should be fine !

No chance, not one, none, nadda, it will be a folding phone. I got my first ever Max iPhone recently and I'm loving it!
