Hello,

Thanks for previous help. Great Forum and folks.

Have no idea what I might have done, but
apparently clicked on something I shouldn't have.

Using Their MAIL App. Running Sonoma.

All the mailboxes I had created over the years that usually show
on the left side, have disappeared.

Can't find the way to have hem all show again, as previously.

How do I do this, please ? (is this the "best" sub-forum to post this to ?)

Much thanks,
Bob

Are the mailboxes gone or is the entire sidebar not showing? The sidebar isn't showing, go to the View menu at the top of the screen. Then toward the bottom of that menu you should see a "Show Sidebar". Click on it.

What's in your sidebar? Anything? Did you recently change any of your mail accounts to a new service?

Click on the search icon inside the mail program and search for an email that you know to exist inside one of your mailboxes. Let's make sure it's not deleted. If your mail is still findable in the search, the mailbox should also still be there.

Hello,

Where, exactly, is this "Serch" icon ?

Can't find.

Again, thanks for your help and time.
Much appreciated.

Is there anything in the sidebar? If Favorites is showing, hover over the + in the circle and add back mailboxes. Here is an article on it.

Alternatively, you can delete the plist and let Mail rebuild it:

close Mail app

Select Finder > Menu Bar and open the "Go" menu.

Select "Go to Folder..."

Copy & Paste the following: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences

If you can see "com.apple.mail.plist" , move it to your desktop so you can restore your preferences by moving it back if this doesn't work

Relaunch the Mail app.

You may have inadvertently collapsed the mailbox folder tree. In the sidebar, where your mail account name appears, slowly move your mouse to the right, almost to the right edge of the sidebar. A little “+” icon and a down arrow icon should appear. Click the down arrow icon. Your mailbox folders should appear under the account.

OP:
Look at this screen shot:
hide-show.jpg

See the "+" and "Hide"
???

You may have to move the pointer directly over that location to see either "Hide" or "Show".
You probably can't see this option unless you move the pointer over it.

Did you inadvertently click the pointer at the wrong moment , and "collapse" all the mailboxes?
